A free comic sampler, this title collects the current BLACK PANTHER ongoing series alongside stories from WORLD OF WAKANDA, BLACK PANTHER AND THE CREW, and the 2005-2008 BLACK PANTHER series. The release aims to hype up old fans and newcomers for the upcoming film. The series, expanding on the character dynamics of Dora Milaje, Ulysses Klaw, and others, is a smash hit and inspired the upcoming film. The sampler will also feature snippets from spin-off titles WORLD OF WAKANDA and BLACK PANTHER AND THE CREW. WORLD expanded on the lore Wakanda and its citizens while THE CREW explores the team of T’Challa, Storm, Luke, Misty Knight, and Manifold, solving crimes affecting New York City. We’ll also get a look at the Reginald Hudlin and John Romita Jr.’s BLACK PANTHER dating from 2005 to 2008. This comic book run took the hero to new places, such as with his marriage to Storm from the X-Men. The BLACK PANTHER movie just on the horizon, the sampler is a smart move on Marvel’s part. Excitement for the film is everpresent, from social media to merchandise and commercials. The film will likely make new records as the first predominantly black Marvel movie (a rarity in the comic movie world).
