Welcome to X-Men Fan Site.com!

Thank you for visiting X-Men Fan Site.com.  We are a home for fans whose lives have been touched by the great storytelling and compelling characters of X-Men comics.  We have become artists in our own right, thinking critically about what we read and the depths of the characters that we love.  X-Men Fan Site aims at establishing a community of readers that do more than just follow plot.  It is because of our dedication to keeping up with comics that comics have kept up and grown up with us.  X-Men Fan Site has established polls not only for fun, but to really take a look at which  characters, that have changed so much over the years, are our favorites right now, and which, of all the amazing story lines we've read over the years, have stuck with us and still affect us emotionally today.  As serious fans, we've also grown to love some of the more obscure characters created in the X-Men's history.  X-Men Fan Site is like you and hasn't forgotten these characters and is remaining on top of their whereabouts and re-entry onto the X-Men's front burner.  Registration on our site is 100% free and advertisement free.  We'd love to hear what you have to say so please register and feel free to edit your profile, connect with new like minded friends and join the ongoing conversations in our forum.  We look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy our growing community.

Creating Claremont - An Exclusive Interview with Mr. Chris Claremont

In an Exclusive Interview with X-Men Fan Site contributor, Jordan Lurie, Chris Claremont reflects on his impact on the X-Men's past, challenges he faces as a writer, geNext and what's in store for all of us in X-Men: Forever.  Thanks to Mr. Claremont for graciously granting us the interview and opening up about Storm, The Dark Phoenix Saga, minorities in comics, his upcoming projects and more.

drawn by Tom Grummett for Chris Claremont’s new X-Men series, X-Men ForeverWriters work in many different ways. Some of the ideas you've put forward have had shockwaves throughout X-Men continuity for years. Where do you draw inspiration from and how does it usually come to you?

This is the kind of question -- and working reality -- that every writer has to face, likely going back to the first time an ancient Greek put pen and ink to paper (or the reasonable analog back then). Inspiration comes from the most basic of places, the need to satisfy an itch inside our soul, a never-ending series of questions relating to the world around us and how we fit into it / make our way through it. One sees characters and the situations in their lives and one asks those most basic of creative questions: who, what, where, when, why and how? From those answers comes conflict; from that conflict, resolution. It is the he ongoing desire to create dynamic, exciting characters, and try to see what happens next in their lives. Hopefully, those characters, and the answers to their questions, will draw the readers enthusiastically through the story and inspire them to come back for more.

Are there any X-Men characters you find it more difficult to write for than others?

Exclusive Interview with Mike Carey writer of X-Men Legacy

In 2006 the X-men line welcomed new writer Mike Carey to take the reigns of 'Adjectiveless X-men' and ushered in a new era for the team. Met with critical and commercial acclaim Mike Carey's X-work has since evolved since his venture with the team. Mike is currently writing X-men: Legacy chronicling the journey of longtime X-men leader Prof. X as well as the Secret Invasion: X-Men and the X-Men: Manifest Destiny miniseries. Mike was kind enough to take time out of his schedule to answer a few questions about his X-work and the future of the line.

Messiah War: Review

Messiah War officially came to its end this Wednesday the 24th and with it ended the young X-Force's greatest challenge. Wolverine's team of killers left in the middle of an attack on the Leper Queen, who had kidnapped three of their friends and teammates. Cyclops "pushed the button" to send them hundreds of years into the future to help Cable and the Messiah Child, Hope, who had at last been found in the timestream. While there the team got separated from Archangel (who discovered Apocalypse's weakened body) and met up with an ancient Deadpool, who had been locked in a freezer for hundreds of years. Shortly after arriving the team realized that there was a disrupter that enabled their time machines useless. While trying to track the device that disrupted them, they were attacked by Stryfe who kidnapped Warpath and Hope.

The team split up and half went looking for the disrupter and half went after Stryfe. Eventually they found Stryfe and and after a hard battle (in which Elixir was very brave) Stryfe defeated them and Bishop who had betrayed him. Meanwhile, the other team found what was disrupting the time machines, X-23's old friend Kidon Nixon. Domino was forced to kill her because X-23 could not and it enabled their time machines to be used again. The coward, Vanisher, immediately took his off and was returned to the present time. Archangel used his powers to revive Apocalypse and took him to battle Stryfe, knowing he made a deal with the Devil. They arrived and rescued X-Force and Apocalypse defeated Stryfe but then took Hope as his own. Archangel convinced him tio give Hope back stating that he gave Apocalypse his life back so he needs to return the favor. Reunited finally, Cable and Hope immediately set off for times unknown but Hope jumped to try and see her new friends in Josh, Laura, and James and winds up being lost from Cable in the timeslide.

Psylocke - Mutant of the Month June 09

Edited cover scan of Uncanny X-Men #509 featuring Psylocke in her original bodyOne half of everyones favorite mutant twins (come on, who really likes Wanda and Pietro?), the British ninja assassin, Betsy Braddock a.k.a Psylocke.  Its no surprise at all that Betsy has won Mutant of the Month. Since her inception and forthcoming to the X-Men in The Mutant Massacre, she has been a fan and creator favorite. Which also is no surprise because she has tremendous depth as a character. Being surrounded by a bit of controversy when she was turned into a hottie ninja chick from her original British body, Betsy did not falter as a character. If anything she matured into as eperate entity from what she originally was but maintaining that bit of characterization that brought her into comics and into our hearts.

Who should be Mutant of the Month for July 2009?
X-Man, Exile, Hand Ninja, Captain Britain Corps member, British or Asian, Betsy has maintained the stability to be a fan favorite and hold her place as one of Marvel's, and especially the X-Men's, most well rounded characters which no doubt holds a place in the lore of Comic Books.

Read more of Psylocke's re-transformation into (the mostly) preferred purple haired British telepath in Uncanny X-Men 508-511.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Video Game Review

After all of the buzz around this game as the best new movie game around, I can safely state that this game is the best there is at what it does, what it does isn’t very nice, but it certainly is a lot of fun. The game starts the player out as everyone’s favorite mutant as he lives out his days in the Weapon X program. Much as the movie does, you’ll find yourself playing through the Origins of Logan, starting from his memories with Victor Creed and the Adamantium bonding process. As you progress throughout the game you’ll be able to “upgrade” or customize the abilities Logan has at his disposal such as health, claw damage, etc.  You will feel like Wolverine and many aspects of the game culminate in this perfectly deadly exhilaration.
